About Vahram Muratyan In 2010, during a long stay in New York, Vahram launched his first blog, Paris versus New York a tally of two cities. After becoming a viral sensation, Vahram adapts his blog into a graphic book : Paris versus New York is an international best-seller, translated for the US market, France, Brazil, Italy, Germany, South Korea & Japan.
His second book, About Time a visual memoir around the clock (Tick Tock), is a celebration of how we spend our fast & curious lives.
When in 2013,Paris versus New York is launched in Japan, Vahram discovers Tokyo & falls in love with the Japanese way of life. After many trips and years in the making, Vahram’s take on Japanese culture becomes a graphic novel. Va au Japon (Japan Calling) is published in France in September 2022.
Since 2021, Vahram is the Art Director of two French publishing houses : Éditions Seghers & Collection Proche, the new paperback dept. of Les Arènes & L’iconoclaste.
Always keen to new concepts and ideas, ready to spice up an elegant take on Parisian culture with a touch of irony and affectionate eccentricity, the artist divides his time between Paris and Brittany, while preparing for his next adventures in print and film.
